The Wisdom Seekers, an Adult Bible Study Class, meets each Sunday
at
9:30 AM
. This class was formed on
August 6, 1996
by then Pastor Richard Broom with seventeen members.
Over the years it has grown to its present membership of about
forty members. The class also
has a following of guests that attend when they are in the area.
The Wisdom Seekers believe that the Bible is the true word of God
and all discussions are geared towards strengthening that belief.
The studies do not follow a prescribed format; rather we rely on
discussion and exploration of our members understanding.
In the past, the Wisdom Seekers have completed the “Journey
through the Bible” series; a study of the woman of the Bible; a study of
the men of the Bible; several studies based on the writing of James Moore
(including Jesus’ Parables of Life; Grace); numerous thematic studies;
“first person” explorations of Bible characters; a VCR assisted study
of the Mid-east (history and prophecy); and several discussion sessions
based on member suggestions and input.
New studies are started about every thirteen weeks and new members
are invited to join at anytime. This
class is self supporting in that our books and/or study guides are provided
from our weekly offerings.
